 
American Innovative Teach Me Time Talking Alarm Clock and Nightlight

We bought this for our five year old to help him learn to tell time on an analog clock.
The alarm works fine and the voice that tells you the time is very clear.
However, I can hardly tell the difference between regular and nightlight mode. But the green light color change indicating time to get up is a great idea.
My two biggest issues with the clock are the controls on the back are very difficult to access and use and the labels next to the tiny buttons are very difficult to read and understand as many functions require pressing two buttons together. Also, for a clock that teaches time, I am surprised there are no minute marks on the clock, only hours are shown so if its 5:57PM its very difficult for a very young person to estimate where the minute hand is exactly pointing. Its still the best time teaching device I found when I scoured the web, but it could use some improvements.

This clock was a Christmas gift from 'Santa' for my 3-year-old son. He has been interested in clocks and telling time for the past few months, so when a parenting blog I frequently read had a review on this clock, I knew I had to buy it!
We set it up in my son's room yesterday. It's not right next to his bed, but on the dresser about 6-8 feet away from the bed. The yellow nightlight is a nice, soft glow, perfect for a night-light. In fact, we removed the existing night-light from my son's room and are now just using the clock as the only night-light. We have the clock set to turn from yellow to green at 7am, and have told my son that he's allowed out of bed when the light turns green, so we'll see if it works in the coming days.
My son has been having fun tapping the right 'foot' on the clock and reporting the time to us. Overall, I am really pleased with this purchase and I definitely feel that this clock will be in my son's room for years to come!

This is the best clock ever! While it is not the most attractive clock, it keeps our 2 1/2 year old in bed--every morning he comes running in yelling that it "turned green!" We actually get to sleep until 6:30 now. Love it, love it. If you have issues with toddlers getting up early, this is the clock for you. It is apparently also great for teaching kids, we're just not there yet. Most of my friends swear by this clock.

This is such a good product ... it's so good that my 3 yr old daughter who was previoulsy waking up at 5.30 now doesn't wake us up until 6.30pm !! it's ingenious we bought one for each of our children and they both understand unless the light is green it's not time to get up and my 6 year old is starting to understand the correlation between the digital time the clock !!!
Whilst it's not cheap it's worth every single penny for the extra hour !! and also for them to learn some responsibility ..

A few posters have complained that the product is too bright and you cannot have it totally dark in the room and still have the green light come on in the morning. But you actually CAN have it only turn green in the morning with no yellow light at night. This is a complaint I've seen on a few reviews on here, so I thought I'd post this clarification for others who may be considering buying this product.
From the American Innovative website FAQ on this product:
"I am using the "Ok to wake!" feature. Can I set just the green light to come on in the morning?
Yes. If you do not want the yellow light on during the night, you can set just the green light to come on in the morning. The LIGHT ON time will be set to the desired "Ok to wake!" time (i.e. 7am), the LIGHT OFF time is set to the time you want the green light to turn off (i.e. 9am) and the LIGHT change time must be set equal to the OFF time (i.e. 9am). With this set up the green light will come on at 7am and turn off at 9am."
