My eight year old LOVES this parrot. I am glad I got for him for Christmas. Learning how to maneuver all the capabilities can be tedious but worth it with patience. It doesn't always work exactly like the directions say it will but that is a small con vs. how much my son loves it.

We bought this toy for our 8 yr old son for a Christmas present. Our entire family is enjoying playing with it. The voices are kind of weird when Squawkers repeats what's said. Squawkers takes on the voice of the person speaking, however in a distorted manner and not as a parrot would speak.
We are enjoying playing with it, but I don't think it's worth the price paid for it.
Can't speak about the toys durability since we haven't had it that long.

I got this toy for my husband and both of us really enjoy it. It interacts with whoever speaks to it and has a variety of sayings and tricks. We're having so much fun with it that we haven't even begun to program our own sayings into it yet. And our bird LOVES it. It's great company for our parrot during the day when we're at work. Our bird already knows that it will "talk back" to her if she makes noises at it.
I am really happy with this toy, it was well worth the money!

Bought this for our 7 yr old grandson who loves birds, but can't have one at home. I'd seen the product in the store and was pleasantly surprised to have it exceed my expectations 'out of the box'. The other grandkids (ages 4-10) were trying to get their hands on it to play, too! I'd buy it again.

I bought this at Toys R Us and the thing wouldn't be quiet! I wanted to give it to my child for Christmas but couldn't keep it in the house because everytime a sound was made or I got near it, it talked and sang!
It was evidently in the "try me" mode and packaged so intricately that I could not see how to turn it to the "off" position or even find the directions booklet unless I opened the whole thing, which would have spoiled the giving of the gift on Christmas morning. I ended up keeping in my car's trunk, where unfortunately my child heard it and thought it was a ghost, so I had to tell her it's a gift I was hiding for her.
All in all though, it's fun and entertaining but I can't figure out how to lower the volume. Way too loud!
