Transformers Movie Voyager Ironhide
Rating: -
I received my Ironhide a day before estimated delivery. I'm happy with my election. It's transformation process is complicated, but that's how i like it. The toy is very big when you transform to robot mode, its 7 inch high, the car mode is very detailed. Has the GMC logo and 4x4 printed on the side panels, and the autobot simbol on the rear of the truck. Everything about this toy is 10/10, so I really recomended to buy this action figure.

Really this toy rocks. My Husband loves his Ironhide, but I would not recommend it for Children under the age of 13. It's very difficult to transform ( which is has to be so my DH informs me)and some of the parts snap off. Which is ok, because the snapping off prevents the breaking of major joints, but nonetheless, it really is just a toy for big boys.
However it did put that 12 year old boy twinkle in my DH eyes.

This one is my favorite of the movie line of Transformers! He is the most impressive looking in robot mode and fairly solid and sturdy in truck mode. He is not, however, for young kids, whatever the box says, and I don't believe that he would stand up well to play. He is great, however, on my desk at work.

After being a fan of Transformers when I was younger, I had to go out and get at least one of the new toys for the movie. (Although I'm 28 years old). Let me just say that first of all I am very impressed. Although transforming this thing from truck to robot and back almost took the better part of an hour for the first time, the look and feel of the finished transformed product is amazing. Although some of the other Transformers seem a little top heavy in robot mode, Ironhide has large feet making him pretty easy to stand up. He also looks awesome in robot mode, with a ton of detail... and the black color makes it very attractive, especially to the older crowd. While in truck mode (and it seems very difficult to get these things back into vehicle mode) the toy actually seems very "playable" with all of the many moving parts snapping back into place nicely to form a solid truck. It it actually looks like a normal toy truck... the engineering that went into this is genius. However, like I said, I don't think this thing was made for kids. With so many little moving parts, twisting and turning and snapping and folding and clicking, something is bound to break if this guy is overhandled. And I also remember the days that you could pick up a Transformer and figure out how to transform it on your own... GOOD LUCK. Even with the instructions right in my face it took a good deal of time to get him from truck to robot and back. After carefully reviewing all of the toys in the store, what they looked like in both forms, I would say Ironhide would have to be my favorite, and I am not dissapointed in the least. He looks awesome.
