Tyco R/C N.S.E.C.T. Robotic Attack Creature - 49MHZ - Blue

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - If less than one star were possible...
This toy is an absolute waste of money and eventually time. The missiles will not fire at all. I even requested the "black projectiles" from Tyco/Mattel and guess what they did not work either. Now you ask, "What will Mattel do about it?" Not much thus far (maybe if they had someone that actually wanted to help you on the phone). Do yourself a favor, spend your money on something else unless you are really moved by throwing away money.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A menacing toy for parents and little sisters!
I bought this toy for my eight-yr-old son who saw it on TV and just had to ask Santa for it. The excitement level was through the roof when he opened it and we both had a great time terrorizing the (prey) inlaws and visitors. I must say that it is one of those things that if you find it setting its sights on you personally - you WILL back away from it... Besides for the rocket launched darts that are amazingly accurate - the velocity of which is kind of scary - (they don't hurt however), the darn thing can walk up to your ankles and pinch you with its mandible like jaws. My son has had a great time stalking his prey (little sister and dad) with it. If it was quieter and could really sneak up on you, I'd have recurring nightmares about it. I, for one, don't mind the noise it makes because at least you know its after you.
What a great toy. It worked well right out of the box and we haven't had any problems with it. The one thing that upsets me a little is that I see it on Amazon today at about [...]bucks less than I paid for it just a few weeks before Christmas (on Amazon no less)... I may just have to buy another one so I can chase my son and give him some of his own medicine. Ankles beware!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - N.S.E.C.T. = P.O.S.
Sporadically responds to controls even with a new 9v battery. Jams when running on the carpet. Requires four to five hours to fully charge on-board battery. A heartbreak machine for little kids. When it finally worked for more than three minutes straight the kids quickly lost interested. The worst toy of Christmas; it's going back.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great fun, Great toy!
My son went crazy when he saw the commercial for this toy and has been asking for it for months. Santa came through and brought him this fun toy. Ours worked extremely well, of course after we figured out how it worked. We thought that our missile didn't work either until we figured out that the missiles have to be pushed in all the way to fire and the red button has to be tapped not held down. If it is held down then the launcher just goes up and down. After our initial try we have had no problems with the toy and it functions perfectly. Once we followed the instructions it worked great. It is a noisy toy when it walks especially on hardwood floors, but then again now alot of toys seem to be loud, esp r/c so why should this be any different. It looks freaky when it walks, has great control and options for movement, and the missiles fire as promised, all to make this a fun toy, the hit of the holiday gifts! Three days and going on the same charge... and it has been played with quite alot by everyone in the family. Also it does say 8 and up on this toy, don't hesitate to buy it for younger, my son is 5 and has no problems controlling it, firing the missiles, or putting them in properly to to fire.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - More Missle Troubles
Hi - The movement is great, but count mine as another one that was defective out of the box - the missles won't fire. Both my sons get a kick out of it otherwise. Good, but not perfect, thus the 3 star rating.
