I loved the tickle me Elmo, but my husband gave me one and I gave him one. He found mine at Walmart for half the price I paid for it from Amazon.com and target. So I wasn't happy about that. But our little grandchildren loved it and even our older children had a ball with it.

Elmo does amazing things and I love him. My 15 mo old granddaughter was scared of him at first but is now warming up to him. I also bought a video so she could watch and see that he's not so frightening.

Our grandchild loves Elmo. It is a pleasure to watch his face as Elmo does his thing.

I brought Tickle Me Elmo for my 1 year old nephew. I think me and my sister (we're both in our late 20's) enjoy it more than my nephew does. Elmo's laugh is absolutely cute and infectious.
Realistically the toy is not worth what I paid for it. It's not made very well for $50 and Elmo could have at least had a t-shirt on. The red fur sheds and gets dirty very easily and doesn't come off to be washed.
In hindsight I probably would have passed on purchasing this item and purchased something educational from Leapfrog or V-Tech.

My brother got this TMX Elmo for my daughter last year for x-mas she had just turned 1. He went to over 8 different stores stood in lines for over hours to get it, but it was worth it. My daughter played with it from day one, she has dropped it thousands of time, and it still works, when he starts laughing and falling she immatates him and does the same, which has become a little dangerous, but she is having a good time. So it is worth the money because my baby didn't put it down for a year.
