My 6 year old son loves this! He got it for Christmas and hasn't stopped playing with it since. The noises it makes are a tad annoying, but it makes him happy! It was half the price of Target and arrived in plenty of time.

I bought this for my 11 yr old son this Christmas. What he loves about it is the snap up extension. The manual lightsaber takes considerable effort to pull down the switch and flick it out at the same time with one hand. This one...pull down the easy switch and whammo..its out! The lightsaber shoots out, the light is on and the sounds are great..sounds just like the ones in the movies. When you swing it, it makes realistic 'whooshing' noises. Also, when you push it down it makes realistic sounds again just like in the movie. There is even a panel on the handle when tapped makes the sound of lightsabers making contact with another lightsaber.
I am impressed because as were shopping in malls you'd see these expensive lightsabers $200 and up promising realistic noises. But these are for collectors as the neon-glass interior will shatter with one swipe. Imagine a kid with that! ha ha
This is very durable as he's been dueling with friends. The light is not super bright (like in the movies) but is easily seen in the daylight. What do you expect at this price?

It's a very cool replica TOY. If you're looking for something to take to a Star Wars convention, then it might not be the right one for you, but it's a super toy for children. I especially like the fully retractable blade, but it's not too bright. My son loves it--plays with it pretty roughly, and no broken pieces. The Humming sound is a nice touch. A cool little lightsaber for the cost. I am even thinking about buying another so that my son can have someone to "fight" with. Hehe. A+, Hasbro

This is the BEST lightsaber ever! It lasted for about a year without having to change the batteries! It's super strong and DID NOT brake into pieces, and the spring is fine. In all, I say this is a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very great product!

It's a nice replica toy for children. Good work with the full retractable blade, but not very shinny (the similar saber created before shines much more). a little big for kids, but fun to play with. my son loves it.
