LEGO SpongeBob The Krusty Krab We bought this lego for my 5 year old and its his favorite toy. He will spend hours playing with it!! My 7 year old loves it too. I highly recommend this to any lego fan. Parents will have to help build The Krusty Krab. But once its built the kids will have a blast!!!

This set was a Christmas present for my 5 y.o. daughter who is a huge fan of Legos and Spongebob. Parents shouldn't be too phased by the age recommendation of 7-12 if your child is experienced with Legos and willing to accept a little help from Mom and Dad now and then.
This set was missing several pieces - literally, 79 pieces to be exact. The only thing we were able to build was the dumpster and all the characters (SpongeBob, Mr Crabs, Plankton and Squidward). I had to go to Lego-dot-com and request the missing pieces one by one which was quite tedious. I just got an automatic email reply about Lego's strict quality standards and how they weigh boxes electronically but occasionally 1 or 2 pieces may be missing. I question whether they will even believe so many pieces are missing, but the number of missing pieces is absolutely unacceptable. I'm thankful my daughter is patient and distracted with other Christmas gifts. This could have evolved into a serious meltdown.
Knowing all this, for any Lego set I buy now I will count all pieces before we begin attempting to build the set. This will be a huge PITA, but sadly one that I have resigned myself to!

The Krusty crab is a nice Lego set overall. There were items which would have been cool if they were included: Spongebob and Squidwards 'Hat', Spongebob's 'spatula' and 'Patrick'.
Mr. Krabs head is quite bendy and could be snapped off easily.
It is pretty sturdy although I wish it had a thicker base plate. My 11 yr old son loves it and it is realistic to the TV show.
Mr. Krabs safe comes with 2 $100 bills and 2 gold coins. The grill really does flip the patties quite high!

Typical Legos product - durable and fun to build. SpongeBob characters are totally cool and look exactly like the cartoon characters. A must have for any child (or overgrown child!) that loves Legos and SpongeBob!

My 8 yr old granddaughter thought this was the neatest toy. This was her first lego set and being from the tv show Sponge Bob was even better. She even got her dad to play with her (and he enjoyed it!!!). Great toy.
