My mom wrote a review saying that the reptile didn't walk at all on carpet and tile. I got good bateries and it runs all over we love to play with it. It learns from its mistakes and chases us. As it matures it sits still till we are almost up to it and then jumps on us. The only problem is it gets caught under our chairs. But we just move them all.

I got an amazing deal on this ... Turns out the recommended age was too high for my cousin, so I had to keep it ;-) It does not work well on Hard wood floors, I suspect it woks better on carpet. takes a lot of batteries! The features are rather simplistic, 3 modes couple of movements in each, but a cool conversation piece at least.

This toy is a great way to tease your dog. It can also be a bit eerie in the way that it stalks and interacts with objects, which is especially evident if you ignore it for awhile...it tends to get "bored" and go around investigating it's surroundings. Oh, and the first time you hear it's voice, it's a bit surprising....a bit like the dinosaur screams from the movies. It's interesting to see how the whole line of robo-animals has been 'evolving'...the capabilities are increasing, and there's more and more simulation of independent action. Ya, it's still programmed, but if you watch it for while, you might be surprised how convincing it is.

This was not a bad purchase. Actually it was a great purchase for the price i got it for through Amazon.

Doesn't really live up to its description, but not a bad toy if you manage to get it on sale for under $[...] I would paid full price for it. However, beware if you have pets.
