MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY 6 YEAR OLDS BIRTHDAY. IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A FUN EXPERIENCE PLAYING WITH THE BALL FOR ALL OF US!!!

If I had based my purchasing on the first couple of reviews on Amazon (the decidedly negative ones) my kids would have missed out on a truly ingenious and fun toy. I totally get the issue with inserting the batteries. The battery case is well inside the ball with deeply inserted screws. But this was no problem using a regular-size phillips head screwdriver. Any difficulty in accessing the battery case is more than compensated for by the need to protect it from damage; a goal well-accomplished by the deep-seated case. I don't get at all the complaint about moving batteries or intermittent operation. My kids have played with this non-stop for more than 2 weeks with no interruptions at all. I don't see how it is even possible, physically, for the batteries to move if inserted properly. The toy provides 4 different games and includes color bands for up to 6 players. It even keeps track of your high score which it identifies when it begins each new game. It can be turned off manually by pressing down on the start/game selector button until you hear 2 "clicks". It will shut itself off automatically after 5 minutes of non-use. This is a challenging, fun toy with enough variation and difficulty to make it appealing for kids of all ages.

My daughter got this for a present, and she and her friends play with it all the time!! They break it out for parties, and sometimes just the family plays. I have never had a problem with the battery compartment, and it has been very durable in a house with an 11 year old and 7 year old. So many of her friends love it, that they ask for it for gifts too! I have bought 3 of these as birthday gifts now. Great, fun game, and it gets the kids outside. What more can you ask for??

I actually bought this to use for my friends and I, at 26 years old it's fun and we use it as a drinking game, when someone loses or you hear the explosion you drink. It's great! The more drunk you are the harder it gets!

Our 5 year old got very inventive with this game. She put four different color bands on her hands and feet and played the first game. She had to put up a different body part for each color the game called. Then three of us took the same idea but put different colors on each hand. We put the ball between us and tapped the ball with whatever color it called. We also love playing the traditional methods. We did not have a problem with the screws.
