 
Leapster L-MAX Hardware (TV Feature)

I bought one at Target (from Santa). My son loved to play with it on the car trip to the in-laws for Christmas. We came home Christmas night, plugged it into the tv, and the cord connecting it to the tv kept popping out. Returned it to Target. Then went online and bought directly from Leapfrog. It arrived yesterday. The box was missing the cover, the problem with the cord popping out was only slightly fixed, and after 45 minutes of playing stopped working all together. Tried their fix of cotton balls on the battery connectors......nope. So, I called the company only to find out that the number they give you for returns/exchanges isn't the right number. Then, called the new number only to be told that someone would call me back in a couple of days. WHAT!?

Device works great!
A couple of things though:
-It's a little big for my 4 y/o daughters hands and she has a bit of trouble using the controls. (no big deal, she'll grow)
-The cable for the pen is a bit skinny (just going to keep a close eye)
-There's a GD advert for games on the main menu that looks like a game icon (Daddy! I want Nemo, I want the game)Marketers suck!

Bought this toy for 3 1/2 year old grandchild-the games loaded are too difficult for this age. She was interested and coordinated enough to use the Leapster, but I had hoped to have same basic games on the Leapster of two years ago-shapes, colors, etc. The 2007 version is perfect for kindergarten age and up. We are looking forward to "growing" into the new Leapster and/or purchasing additional games that might be more appropriate. It is super durable, fits little hands perfectly, and very educational. One of the best toys available.

We purchased the Leapster Max for Christmas for our grandson who just turned 5. He loves it and plays with it for hours. I highly recommend it.

Great toy.
Can hardly get them to put it down. It definitley challenges them academically. My kindergartener loves the 2nd grade game, even though he doesn't get most of it - he's learning. Some games are definitley better than others. I highly recommend this product.
