Rating: -
I got this as a gift for my son from his Nanna, and I was skeptical. He usually had a hard time staying in one spot long enough to play with toys like this, but he'll stand in front of the 'fridge and put all the letters in the space and then dance around when he pushes the ABC song button. He can even sing the first few letters of the ABC song at 22 months. I'd recommend this to anyone!

Have bought this toy before for other children, and as always, it is enjoyed non-stop! Great gift and lasts through the generations.

I bought this for my 14 month old daughter after seeing her play with it at a friend's place. She likes pressing the buttons to hear the song and even hums the same tune.
It would be useful to teach her alphabets when she is older too.

My 16 month old can't get enough of these magnets or the (very sturdy) magnetic speaker which says the names of the letters and sings the alphabet song (but only if you turn it on -- whew!) We bought them after he loved playing with them at a friend's house.
I like that, unlike a lot of other alphabet magnets, the magnets in the Leap Frog version are completely sealed inside the plastic so that there is little to no chance of them coming loose and being swallowed.

In the past I used this toy with my preschool children and the loved it. Now that I am a grandmother I purchased one for our grandson and he loves it too. The letters are easy for small hands to manipulate. The song is easy for him to remember and he enjoys learning the sounds the letters make too. I only wish that the upper and lower case letters came with these sets. I know they can be purchased seperately but I would pay more to have them all together. Children need to recognize both the upper and lower case letters before they go to school. It makes reading so much easier if they recognize both.
