My son received this as a Christmas gift from his Godparents and let me tell you, what a hit! He absolutely LOVES this toy. As we all know, it can be difficult to find toys that not only grab baby's attention but keep it! Our son has only had this toy one day and it's already provided SEVERAL hours of entertainment. It has several modes from only saying the name of the letter to making the sound of each letter and singing songs. The entire alphabet runs around the rim of the bus and "Leap", "Lily" & "Tad" are the passengers. Each piece snaps into place so while driving the bus around they do not fall out. The front position on the bus also doubles as an interactive slot and each character put in that position makes different sounds or songs depending on what mode it's set on. (They each have their own verse of "Wheels On The Bus"). The music note on the side sings the ABC's. Also, I should note that there are two volume settings which is nice when you need toys more on the quiet side or feel like rockin' out with baby. :)
I rated this toy 5 stars for durability b/c anyone that's a parent of boy(s) will agree with me when I tell you that boys put a whole new level of stress on toys and the like. My son is rough! He will be 1 year in a couple weeks but I do believe he has the potential strength of "Bam-Bam". He has already managed to throw Lily across the room (we have solid concrete floors) from sheer excitement and my husband and I both thought she was in for it, but I must say I didn't even find a scratch.
I gave this toy a 4 star rating for educational b/c it is only alphabet learning. Which isn't a bad thing, it's just nice to see numbers included too.
I should also add that within minutes of play, my son had already figured out how to push this toy along with one hand and crawl along beside it make "brrrrrrmmmm" noises the whole while. Which was fun for us to see him do for the first time!
Buy this toy- you WILL NOT be disappointed!!

My 10 month old loves this. I bought it as an after thought, thinking he would get more use out of it when he was older and was suprised at how much he plays with it now. He loves the figures, rolling the bus on the carpet and the music it plays and pushing the buttons. Its just going to get better when he starts really learning the alphabet and what it means

I bought this for my baby. I took the three characters out just it case it is a choking harzard. As the previous reviewers said. It does produce a very clear pronounciation of the alphabets. I like it a lot.

My son gets his fix for driving something around, he hears music, and he learns letters all at the same time. This is a toy that we bring with us when we go to other family members' houses because it is compact and keeps him totally entertained.
Pros: adjustable volume so it's not blaring, good for learning what letters look and sound like, compact
Cons: Removable characters are scattered throughout the house- they're cute, but it's totally unnecessary for them to be removable; phonics song gets totally boring from an adult's standpoint ("S says sss, S says sss..."

I bought this toy for my 15month old daughter and its remarkable. Within a month she started saying letters from the alphabet and she just love the different music modes. This is an excellent learning toy and durable
