even as a kid, I never played this game. I got it for my son's 7th birthday, as we have Clue Jr. and he enjoys that very much. I don't know, maybe this game will grow on me more, but I actually like Clue Jr. better, I think it is more fun. I know this is a classic game, but the game play just seemed odd to me. It does get kids thinking about strategy and makes them have to remember details, which is why I rated it high for educational. Overall, this won't be one of the go-to games on our shelf, though, as we have many, many more interesting games than this.

My children have always played board games. Basically, you name it, they've played it, but for some reason I had never played Clue myself nor had my children. I decided to buy this for my oldest for Christmas, and I was surprised at how easy my kids picked up on this game, especially the 6 year old because the game clearly states ages 8+. That did not stop her one bit.
She dove right into the game eliminating people, rooms, and weapons one by one to win 2 out of 3 games without help. During this holiday break the kids have been playing this game twice day and getting better and better each time. Clue is a wonderful game to learn to develop logic skills as well as using strategy.
I still think the game is a bit hard, even for adults, but what I really like about Clue is that it exercises your brain unlike some other board games. It's a fast game taking only around 20-30 minutes to play start to finish, so it would be ideal for families short on time.

I love this game! I haven't seen the newer gameboards, but my childhood one is still intact. You can just make copies of the paper for more (I'm sure most of you have figured that out already). It always was a drag to find at least 2 others to play with, and it is more fun with more people.

My grandaughter loved this game. It gave her loads of fun, while teaching her to observe, something that we rarely teach our children. Brilliant choice.

This is a fun game to play. A game that the whole family enjoys. Strategy and wits to overpower the others. All ages enjoy playing Clue.
