Stratego-Milton Bradley Board Games

We love the game. The board came apart after about 3 or 4 uses. The game pieces are stickers on plastic. I know everything is made in China but does it have to be poorly made?

Stratego is a wonderful game of strategy played by two players. Since the game pieces are setup however you want each time, it has great replay-ability and variety. My biggest complaint is that this set as a whole feels kind of cheap. Having to manually affix 80 stickers on the pieces before playing the first time is pretty lame in this age of automation and robotic manufacturing. There's just no excuse for that. The stickers themselves are also a bit of a problem as I can't imagine them lasting 15 years without peeling or fading.
To those complaining about the numbered ranks being reversed: you have it backward. Stratego was first imported to the United States from Europe around 1960 by Milton Bradley. For whatever reason, they reversed the standard ranking system when they published it. Stratego has a much longer history than most suspect and can be traced back to a traditional Chinese game called Jungle (also called Dou Shou Qi). The familiar European variant dates to at least pre-WWI France (called L'attaque). The early US versions from the 60s are the only versions ever to have the reversed rank numbers and this version brings the game closer to its original form.

This product was shipped and recieved very quickly, in good condition and was everything I had hoped it to be! The only down side is I didn't win my first game I played on it!

i think this game fills you with interest. Using strategy this game is like a army game.you have players and the wapons you need. Bombs, a spy are the traps you you need to destroy the best player. This game is great and the best! also, the best part is the STRATEGY.

I play this game with my almost 6 year old. I know he is a little young but he has figured out which piece is higher, the bombs, how and who can move, and basically the concept of capturing the flag. although his is a bit young to fully stratagize he is able to think about it which I believe is very educational. Although he is not able to fully stratagize we still have fun getting to the point where one of our flags are captured. And even if this happens he wants to keep playing. This game is great for now and will be even better as he gets older and can think on a more mature level.
