This scanner is lightweight and portable. It is fairly intuitive as to how to install the software and then use the scanner. It does a great job on documents and photos. I truly like it and the price was great.

I was able to pick up this scanner for around $50, and considering all of the more expensive options out there, I thought it would be low quality. After hooking it up and using it for various applications (document scanning, photo scanning), I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality. I've used several scanners that cost two or three times as much as this one, and they've produced lower quality images. I got this scanner as a gift to scan old photos. It is fantastic for scanning old photos. Simply drop the 4 photos on the glass (no need to line them up, get them straight, etc.). Push a button, and the scanner scans the photos, straightens them up and separates them. I don't use the editing software so I can't comment on that, but this is a great scanner for a Mac user.
