I bought this for my 3-yr-old niece for Christmas and she loves it! She enjoys the sounds the remote control buttons make and that the toy works pretty well on carpet and hard floors. Once we showed her what each button does, she got the hang of it pretty quickly.
The helmet and scarf are constantly falling off and were quickly thrown aside. Could easily lose these items but doesn't affect the use of the toy.

I bought this for my 2 year old child as a Christmas present. Once we had the batteries in and I showed her the buttons that needed to be pushed, there was no turning back. She loved this toy. My 6 year old really liked to play with it also and said she wanted to get one for herself. It will ride over carpeting easily and go over vinyl flooring in crazy spins. My 5 yr old girl bought this w/ her b-day $ from her granny after seeing the Sat. am commercials. I was skeptical;but, was pleasantly surprised! It is quality and well made. The RC is easy to use and durable. I don't think it's educational except for hand eye motor skills. You can ride other ponies in the scooter too. We have berber carpet and it works fine on the carpet. It has a helmet and scarf accesory. So, mom was wrong and I'm glad I allowed the purchase. It's a cute and well made toy!
