This has been given as a Christmas gift and not yet used by my children but in order to write a review I am forced to provide all the ratings so please disregard. Just want to mention (for those of you to who this is not obvious) that there is no way this, fairly expensive set of blocks, will make the fort in the advertisement photo. That fort would require a minimum of 3 sets and more likely 4 at a cost of over 200 dollars. If you're ok with a wall of a fort ;) or a smaller structure then buy away. ... Read More

I ordered 5 sets of these blocks for my kids for Christmas. I did not realize they were made of compressed styrofoam. The package claims they are made of a product that is 300X stronger than styrafoam. IE protective material in bike helmets.
I am wondering if I should try and pre-test these myself- as my oldest, nearly 5, is the type to be destructive in the sense of just trying to see how much a toy can handle.
