My 5 year old absolutely loves having a rainbow at his finger tips. It is great fun for him. I think it my have been his favorite Christmas gift.

I ordered this for my daughter's sixth birthday. She's a rainbow nut and totally loves it! It mostly works the way the review states it should. However, the projector no longer turns on/off 'with the wave of your hand' and the 'bonus window prism disk for real daytime rainbows' was not in the box. I called the manufacturer as the instructions state and was told that the 'wave of your hand' feature was the first model and is no longer implemented to save battery life. I recommend this but second the person who notes the mixed reviews and suggests you order from a company that has a good returns/exchange policy. This is fun if it works. Pros: small enough to fit on a nightstand (9" long and 4 1/2" deep at the base); an outlet allows the use of an adapter (not included); the rainbow is decent, good enough for a little one to enjoy.
