She has many features similar to that of a real pony, including moving eyes, ears and head, soft fur coat and a swishing tail. Through sensors, Butterscotch can feel when she is being groomed and will move her head toward you, and may whinny and snort. The more you touch her, the happier she becomes. Just like a real pony, Butterscotch loves carrots and can be "fed." Hold the pretend carrot to her face, and she will open her mouth for it, or shake her head "no" if she has had enough. With Butterscotch, your girl will feel like she is interacting with a living, breathing pony. Butterscotch is soft to the touch, with a fur coat and mane that feel just like a real pony. Her markings and color are modeled after a Shetland pony. Butterscotch also has built-in sensors all over her body, which enable her to respond to children in amazingly lifelike ways. If talked to, she will cock her head toward the speaker quizzically and blink her eyes.
She will also react to petting, showing her enjoyment by rubbing her head against your child, twitching her ears, and swishing her tail. In addition to her convincing movements, Butterscotch also makes a medley of different sounds. She'll neigh and whinny just like a real pony, and snort when she wants attention. Should the room become dark, she will begin to whimper, letting her owner know that she needs a consoling hug to know that she is safe.

At over three feet tall, Butterscotch is more than strong enough to support a rider up to 80 pounds in weight. Your little girl will be overjoyed to sit on Butterscotch's back and pretend to go for a ride. Much like a real pony, Butterscotch loves to be groomed and fed. Children will keep very busy taking care of her. When given her special carrot, Butterscotch will chomp and munch on it. Got "Butterscotch for my daughter, age 3, at Christmas. She still plays with it and talks with it daily. Just replaced 1st set of batteries this month but she is turned off each night cause she "needs her west". Love the way she neighs when the lights come on or child makes a noise in her room. I purchased this Pony for my Granddaughter...She is 4 1/2 years old and at times I think she really thinks this pony...which of course she named Butterscotch is a real horse....she wants to even take it to bed with her...She has really had fun with this toy...I think the pony is worth the money plus it seems to be a durable toy.

My daughter has wanted this pony since it came out. Santa Claus did not bring it to her for two Christmases, so mama buckled and bought her one. She had to do chores and save her allowance for a few months, but it was well worth it. It takes a while to figure out all the different things that it can do. My daughter loves taking care of the horse, and we are even cutting a hole in the box it came in to make it into a stable. Overall a good toy, although still overpriced. My daughter now wants ... I bought Butterscotch for Christmas for my 5 year old daughter. Although I was incredibly impressed by the quality and features of the toy, after the initial excitement wore off (about 1 week), my daughter hasn't touched the horse. I think the fact that it doesn't walk or move (other than the head), is a disappointment for a child who wants a "real" horse. Butterscotch is well made and interactive (and easy to assemble), but I think it's more entertaining for the adults who've never had this type ... Read More

Every child who is horse crazy should have this stoy. It is absolutely amazing. Its so realistic it seems to be listening to conversations that are going on around it. We jokingly wonder if she's walking around the house when no one is home. My daughter is still playing with it and treats it like a real pet. She even said she doesn't need a REAL horse now (we'll see how long that lasts, but at least it bought us some time!!!)
