I just bought the Leapster for my 5 y.o. daughter. I wanted something she could play with in the car that was educational. She took to it right away and has needed very little help from me. I bought 3 games-this one, Dora Wildlife Rescue, and Kindergarten. She begged me for this one, but it is very challenging. I tried myself to trace the letters and you have to get it right on. My handicapped sister loves this game. It helps her concentration level a great deal. Some more advanced children might not enjoy and become bored. In her case it's been a great game.

If your little girl loves the Disney Princesses, she will love this Leapster game. My 5 year old twins fight over who gets to use this cartridge in their Leapster. I see no problems with the graphics, and really like the game where they can trace letters of the alphabet. One of my girls has a lazy eye and problems with fine motor skills and it has been great for her! My other daughter especially enjoys the game that you get to design a dress for Cinderella at the end.

Ever since we bought the Leapfrog, I have been impressed by the educational value of the game, which zeroes in on "problem-solving" skills. As well, it helps kids with their hand-eye coordination.
A young girl will love the Princess game, which also contains many songs.
