I bought this toy for my daughter for her second birthday. 5 months later she plays with her instruments every day!
The instruments are very good quality.. extremely durable.. and they have to be to survive the wrath of a 2 year old!
Highly recommended to anyone looking for instruments to buy for their toddler - they are so durable, sound realistic (they are realistic), and are excellent quality.. as Melissa & Doug items usually are.

My son just adores this toy! Since we are pretty tolerant people, the noise from a toy band doesn't bother us and the sounds coming from the toys sound like actual instruments, not cheap fakes.

I gave this to my son for his 3rd birthday as he is interested in music and says he wants to play in a band, so I thought he'd enjoy this. He did enjoy it, but broke the tamberine within an hour. The material in the middle was so flimsy - almost like thick paper. It says on the box that this is appropriate for ages 3+. This is great- we are going to use the instruments at our reception so people can play along with the music.

My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday. Within minutes, the cover of the drum was broken. She was not extra-rough with it. It is just very poorly-made. Surprising for Melissa & Doug.
