If you haven't played Yahtzee before, where have you been?? I remember playing this while growing up and still love it to this day. It is a game that anyone can play and great for family and friends. I picked it up recently, because we had lost ours in a move and the kids kept asking for it again. We enjoy playing it on weekends or evenings instead of flipping through the channels on the TV. Over the years I've found that Yahtzee is one of those timeless classics that kids really love. They enjoy throwing the dice and dig the sound of dice jostling about in the container. It does assist with basic math skills--at least a little--and draws on the competitive instincts of young boys in particular. If you like family board/dice games, Yahtzee is a classic that you must have! This game is easy to learn, can be set up and played quickly, employs strategy, and can be enjoyed by kids and adults. Beginners can win against advanced players occasionally. Yahtzee has some similarity to the hands in poker, and is a good game to play before learning poker.

Yahtzee is the funnest family game out there. It is so quick to pull out and fast to learn. You really only need 5 dice and you're ready to play Yahtzee.
